Механістичні перспективи метатеоретизування в соціології

Анотація. У статті аналізуються перспективи соціологічного метатеоретизування, пов’язаного із соціальними механізмами та механістичним поясненням соціальної реальності. Автор здійснив критичний огляд найважливіших соціологічних розробок механістичного підходу до соціальних феноменів. У статті викладено основні принципи соціальних механізмів, приклади їх застосування в соціологічних теоріях та перспективи інтеґрації соціальних механізмів в аналітичну соціологію. Соціальні механізми як аналітичні конструкції забезпечують гіпотетичні зв’язки між спостережуваними подіями. Проте надмірна кількість визначень соціальних механізмів робить проблематичним інтеґрування різних інтерпретацій механістичного підходу у спільну метатеорію. Окрему увагу приділено механістичній схемі змін на макрорівні Дж. Коулмена та механізмам демократизації у тлумаченні Ч. Тилі.
