У статті здійснено огляд теоретичних інтерпретацій та емпіричних досліджень соціокультурного дисенсусу у світовій соціології. Проаналізовано трактування феномену дисенсусу у працях Р. Дарендорфа, Е. Шилза, В. Оберта, В. Волеса та інших. У цих працях соціологічне поняття дисенсусу презентується як теоретичний антипод та доповнення поняття консенсусу. Поняття консенсусу та дисенсусу були розбудовані в конкурувальних макросоціологічних теоретичних традиціях структурного функціоналізму й теорій соціального конфлікту, але взаємно доповнюють одне одного у спільному аналітичному контексті досліджень. Описано особливості операціоналізації та емпіричної ідентифікації консенсусу/дисенсусу в працях В.Ґ. Рансимена та Т.Дж. Шефа. Проаналізовано концептуальні та формальні моделі вимірювання консенсусу / дисенсусу П.Г. Россі та Р.Е. Берка. Розглянуто емпіричні показники соціокультурного консенсусу / дисенсусу в різних соціологічних дослідженнях на підставі вивчення праць М. Мана, Н. Штера, П.М. Бейкера, Дж. Маркофа, З. Савіньскі та Г. Доманьскі, Р. Роуза і Т. Маккая, К. Ґрафтона та Е. Пермалоф, І. Дауна та К.Дж. Вілсон, Т. Ґонзалес-Артеаґа, Ж.С.Р. Алькантуд та Р. де Андрес Кале, А. Робертса. Цей методичний досвід свідчить про ґрунтовне розроблення методичної проблематики емпіричних соціологічних досліджень у світовій соціології й може бути використаний у дослідженні різних соціокультурних розмежувань в Україні.
